内容介绍 : | The most favoured Concubine To of the West Palace rises meteorically to power. A lewd woman, she has an illicit affair with literary minister Wu Wai. Crown prince King-yan, who stumbles upon their rendezvous and puts on display a waistband on the palace gate as warning, is accused of harassing the concubine. To's son King-yee exposes her crime which leads to her punishment by caning, but To defies the ruling and conspires with Wu to incriminate Empress Chiu-yee of the East Palace, who is beheaded for adultery. The maid Miu-heung, who is made to disguise as the empress to attend a secret rendezvous, leaves a note and flees the murderous hands of the conspirators. Distraught, King-yan is making offerings to the empress at the grave when her spirit returns, instructing the son to bring her spirit tablet and blood letter to the palace to redress grievances. The fierce spirit then causes uproars at the palace, scaring To out of her wits and compelling her confession. The empress unveils her mask and explains how Miu-heung had borne the punishment to redeem her mistake. With the culprits delivered to justice , King-yan inherits the throne and becomes emperor.
